Happy 2012

Holy smokes! I forgot to wish you all a Happy New Year!!!

It was news to me that we celebrate New Year’s with a party. I partied with my buddies Gabri and Suri. Now while I love partying with my pals, Mommy and Daddy need to hear me when I say…..
Late night parties interfere with my beauty sleep. And I hate cheesy hats btw. Happy New Year indeed!
Even More Christmas and Another Plane: Holiday Fun #3
Before I finish off the final portion of my holiday report, I would like to remind you that I’m under the care of this guy. I’m a proud infant (was that the correct use of a sarcasm, Mommy?)
When we returned from Grammy and Pop Pop’s house, Daddy’s dear friends (Nathan, Ellie, Jonathan, & Eileen) from Australia made a special visit! Daddy told me to take a picture so it would last longer.
After another trip on an airplane (more on that later), we went to visit Uncle Mann and Aunt Shari for some more Christmas fun.
I told Uncle Mann that he looks like Daddy. Uncle Mann said, “No, your Daddy looks like me.” What is the difference?
Oh hi Grandma Val!
I was a little embarrassed to tell her that I might have had too many grits and that she might have to take a look under the hood.
The next day, I got to meet Daddy’s Grandmother Ruth for the first time!
The bad news is that Mommy and Daddy told me Christmas was officially over when we left Grandmother Ruth’s house. The good news is that I think I am getting the hang of this flying on an airplane thing. The trip back home was a lot of fun!
Hark! They serve Cheerios on this plane!

They had some sweet reading material too….

It was a Christmas for the ages all! I can’t believe I thought Christmas was a crapfest! I hear I get another Christmas next year! I’m counting the days!
I Must’ve Been Dreaming: Holiday Fun #2
I’d had the time of my life on the day before Christmas (they call it ‘eve’), and to my surprise I was told that I’d wake up on Christmas morning to a bunch of presents. Now, I’m not a greedy baby (unless we’re talking food), but I was pretty disappointed when I woke up and didn’t see any presents. I thought I’d been played for the fool. Or maybe I dreamed up this wacky thought of some clown bringing everyone presents in the middle of the night. I felt my age thinking some tall tale like that was true. Then I had a little talk with Adiya…
She shook her head at me when I asked her why everyone lied to me about being showered with gifts overnight. “Silly Billy Gumdrops,” she said, “Santa doesn’t put them in your bed! Have you looked in the other room under the Christmas tree? The one with the lights?”
“Who’s Santa?” I asked.
“The funny looking guy in the red with the white fur on his face!!”
You know, I don’t know what I’d do without Adiya! She dropped the knowledge, and now I was pumped to be in on the details…..
She said she’d lead me to the party (my second in two days – don’t sleep on eve) after she finished coloring.
Holy teddy bears! Santa brought books!
…and puzzles and a new phone!! And a bunch of other things! I couldn’t BELIEVE it!!
Everyone got presents!!!!
Mommy reminded me I wasn’t dreaming, and I couldn’t stop smiling. It was one of the best days I’d ever had!
And then, as is always the case with my life, the morning brought a bit of the unexplained…….
Uncle Geoff gave Akash a gift that received mixed reviews. I’m still a little confused and don’t have any comment. Mommy was scared. Daddy told me to tell you that this picture wasn’t edited and free of special effects. I’m not really sure what that means.
I think Akash liked it….
I think Adiya liked it too.
The Christmas bash at Pop Pop and Grammy’s was out of control. By the end of the morning I needed some down time. I chilled with Pop Pop and my new doll for a while……
Then I relaxed with Grammy and some other nice gifts I was blessed with…..
Heck, I was feeling so great, I took my pants off. Daddy said I was definitely his child. Not sure why he was stating the obvious.
Stay tuned folks – my Christmas story ain’t done yet!
I Stand Corrected: Holiday Fun #1
Merry Happy Everythings my people!
So I have a few apologies to throw out. I had serious issues with the Christmas thing. I didn’t know why everything was looking different and why everyone was being so weird.
Things changed.
The picture above was taken on Christmas morning. My mood had changed, and it started the night before on eve. By the way, what does eve mean? I wish I had known a few things before I dissed Christmas:
For starters, no one told me that I get to wear a dress, and that everyone else was going to get dressed up too. If that weren’t enough, we went to Grammy and Pop Pop’s house!!!
No one told me Akash and Adiya were showing up either. In other words before we even got to Christmas, the day before Christmas (eve) was already a full on party!!
Speaking of parties, no one told me I was going to get to cut up with Uncle Geoff……
……or have a photo shoot with Mommy and Daddy…..
As excited as I was about the party, I don’t think anyone was more excited than Akash…….
I was already overwhelmed with the Christmas celebration that was going on around me, and then my mind was officially blown…..after dinnertime this man with the funky outfit showed up. Nothing I’ve seen in my short life prepared me for the moment I was sitting on the lap of this stranger in a weird outfit I’d never met before. Christmas was getting out of control and I didn’t know what was going on…….
He told me he was coming back after I went to bed to drop off some presents for everyone. I was like, “really?” Mommy and Daddy said he was telling the truth…..
Wow! He’s he was so nice! Here I was thinking that he was just some random guy in a weird outfit trying to make me smile. I came to find out that he had a boatload of presents for everyone in the world! My goodness!!!!!
I was all wrong about Christmas. This was the best day of my life, we were having a crazy party, and it was only the day before the Christmas day. I didn’t know it was going to get better!!!!
